LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Perhaps channeling his inner-Rudy Gobert, Utah head coach Larry Krystkowiak drew a technical foul in the Utes’ conference tournament game against Oregon for smacking a water cup off the scorer’s table.
The coach’s outburst came after Utah center Jayce Johnson was called for a soft foul against the Ducks. Krystkowiak immediately became irate, shouted something at the official and proceeded to slap a cup off the nearby scorer’s table. He was immediately given a technical foul.

The move by Krystkowiak was quite similar to a stunt pulled off by Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert back on Dec. 7. On that day, Gobert was frustrated with a call during a game against the Houston Rockets and smacked a cup on his way to the bench. For the outburst, Gobert was ejected from the game, just three minutes into the contest.
