PHOENIX, Ariz. – Utah Jazz second year star Donovan Mitchell passed former Jazzman C.J. Miles for the 10th most threes made in franchise history.
Miles connected on 334 triples in his 7 seasons with the Jazz and Mitchell entered Wednesday night with 331, which was tied with Andrei Kirilenko for 11th.
Mitchell made four of his six attempts from downtown in the Jazz 114-97 win over the Phoenix Suns. He now is in sole possession of 10th place in franchise history in three-pointers made.
It will be a while before Mitchell can move to ninth as former Jazz sharpshooter Jeff Hornacek made 439 in his 7 seasons in a Jazz uniform.
Hornacek is tied with Rodney Hood, who made 439 in just four seasons.
Joe Ingles has made 622 through five seasons. He is currently in third place, just 68 threes away from passing Gordon Hayward for second place. John Stockton made 845 threes in 19 seasons and is the franchise leader.
Kyle Korver is five triples away from passing Miles for 11th on the list. He has 329 made shots from downtown.
