TAYLORSVILLE, Utah – Offer a Donovan Mitchell bobblehead and the people will come.
That’s what the Salt Lake Stars, the NBA G-League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, found out.
For months the team had been advertising a special bobblehead to commemorate the Jazz guard’s victory in last season’s Slam Dunk Contest.
In a promotional video for the bobblehead, Mitchell stated his excitement at seeing himself in bobble head form, complete with the Contest’s trophy and a basketball being wrapped by a spider web.
"It's a pretty memorable moment for me so to have this, this is awesome."

The deal for a bobblehead was included in in a ticket package: buy two tickets to the Stars game against the Agua Caliente Clippers and receive a bobblehead for $25.
The promotion was a smashing success as the Stars had a standing-room only crowd of 2,287 while completely selling out their inventory of 1,000 bobbleheads. It was a season high for the Stars at Bruin Arena, as they had larger crowd when they played their season opener at Vivint Smart Home Arena.
