4A Semifinals Recap: Bear River To Meet Sky View For Title

CEDAR CITY, Utah – The 4A boys basketball semifinal round has four of the best teams in the state of Utah fighting for a chance to play for a state championship.
In the finals, the Bear River Bears will face Sky View for the state championship.
Here’s a roundup of the games that led to the finals matchup:
Bear River 50, Bonneville 49
Just when the Bear River Bears appeared down and out in the second half, they turned on a 15-4 run that began in the third quarter and went into the fourth.
Ren Fonnesbeck hit a big layup with just seconds remaining in the game to take the lead at 50-49.
Bonneville had a shot at the last second, but it rimmed out and clinched the win for the Bears.
Wyatt Roholt and Mark Huber both turned in 15 points for the Bears.
Zach Alspaugh led the Lakers with 12 points.

Sky View 70, Payson 60
Sky View’s Mason Falslev was dominant from deep as he scored 35 points, including six 3-pointers to lead the Bobcats to the state championship game.
Logan Sorensen led Payson with 23 points and knocked down seven triples of his own.
Payson outscored Sky View 27-18 in the fourth, but wasn’t able to overcome a 13-4 free throw makes discrepancy for the game.
