Fans React To News Of Rimando’s Retirement

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Once word got out that Real Salt Lake’s all-time great goalkeeper Nick Rimando announced his retirement from Major League Soccer, support and gratitude for the 19-year pro’s career was all over social media.
Rimando made the announcement on his Twitter account with a graphic that shared the announcement, surrounded by photos of him in game action for RSL.
The American-born goalkeeper has been a foundational member of RSL’s squad since 2007.
As the all-time lead in career shutouts, wins, saves and appearances, Rimando has built quite the following, not only from RSL supporters, but from soccer fans all over the globe.
Many of those fans took to Twitter to share their voice about Rimando’s announcement.
