Harding Leads Weber State Past Montana State

OGDEN, Utah – Weber State bounced back from nearing upsetting Montana on Thursday to defeat Montana State 94-82.
The victory moved Weber State to 16-10 overall and 9-4 in conference play.
It was a hot start for the Wildcats, in particular for Brekkott Chapman. He had 8 of Weber’s first 13 points, including 2-for-3 from downtown. Weber State had a 13-4 lead in the first 4 minutes of play.
The Bobcats started to chip away at the lead as they got to within 7, 26-19 with 10 minutes left in the first half.
Weber State didn’t score in the last two minutes of the first half and Montana State’s Tyler Hall made a jumper to take the lead heading into halftime, 40-39.
In the second half, the Wildcats found a spark off of a 6-0 run bump their lead to 12, 75-63 with 8 minutes left in the game.
The Bobcats tried to get back in the game late, but the Wildcats kept them at bay and rolled to the 12-point victory.

Jerrick Harding dropped a game-high 28 points with four 3-pointers made.
Chapman finished with a double-double of 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Tyler Hall and Harald Frey both had 25 points for Montana State.
