CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Joe Harris of the Brooklyn Nets took home the 3-Point Contest crown after defeating Golden State’s Stephen Curry and Sacramento’s Buddy Hield in the finals of the event.

Harris shot first in the finals and his score of 26 points outlasted the efforts of Hield and the heavy favorite, Curry.

One of the lesser known players in the event, Harris is in the middle of a career year for the Nets. A four year pro out of Virginia, Harris is averaging 13.9 points per game on 50 percent shooting for Brooklyn.

Former Weber State Wildcat Damian Lillard of the Portland Trail Blazers was eliminated in the first round after posting a score of 17.

Defending champion Devin Booker was eliminated in the first round after posting a score of 23.
