Salt Lake City Pegged As No. 3 Soccer Market In U.S.
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Salt Lake City has been named the third biggest soccer market in the United States according to a recent report.

Salt Lake City comes behind Los Angeles and Houston as the top soccer markets in the country.
The ranking methodology is considering multiple range of factors addressing the different types of soccer fan and interests. They used a total of 27 different data sets were evaluated from independent sources including Scarborough, Google, Facebook, Twitter, MLS, U.S. Soccer, NASL, NWSL, and USL. GESM had a cross section of soccer consumption from the five main principles of playing, watching, attending, conversing and searching.
They noted that every MLS and NWSL market is in the top 40. Despite Atlanta United FC winning the MLS cup, the city of Atlanta is ranked No. 27.
The state of Utah has three professional clubs that include Real Salt Lake of Major League Soccer, Utah Royals FC of the National Women’s Soccer League and the Real Monarchs of the United Soccer League Championship.
