Toolson Nails Five 3-Pointers In UVU Victory

OREM, Utah – The Utah Valley Wolverines began a new home winning streak with a 79-62 victory over Cal Baptist.
The Wolverines had enjoyed a 22-game home winning streak that came to an end on Jan. 19 in an 83-78 loss to New Mexico State.

Utah Valley came into the game on Wednesday having won games over UMKC and Chicago State on the road following the loss to the Aggies.
Against Cal Baptist, the Wolverines made quick work of the Lancers, building a 37-18 lead at halftime. By the time the buzzer sounded at halftime, Jake Toolson already had 14 points and four 3-pointers made in 15 minutes of action.

As the Wolverines coasted to a 17-point victory, Toolson finished with 17 points with five 3-pointers made.
Baylee Steele logged a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds.

Utah Valley will hit the road after a bye this next week. The Wolverines will travel to face Seattle U on Feb. 9 at 2 p.m.
The Wolverines previously defeated Seattle U 88-78 at home on Jan. 12.
