Utes Complete Road Sweep With Win Over Cal

BERKELEY, Calif. – Utah completed a two-game road sweep with an 82-64 victory over Cal.
After a historic win at Stanford on Thursday, the Utes completed a sweep of the Bay Area Pac-12 schools with an 18-point victory at Cal.
With the win, the Utes advanced to 5-2 in conference play. Cal remained winless against conference opponents as the Golden Bears fell to 0-8.

The Utes caught fire near the end of the first half as they hit seven straight field goal attempts en route to a 14-point lead near the four minute mark.
Cal, however, cut the lead to just four at halftime as the Utes took a 46-42 advantage into the locker room.
In the second half, the Utes took control quickly and never looked back on their way to the road sweep.
Utah started the half on a 12-2 run that included two made 3-pointers by Sedrick Barefield. With a 58-44 lead five minutes into the half, the Utes were comfortably ahead and rode that lead to the victory. The Golden Bears never got it closer than eight after Utah’s hot start to the half.

The Golden Bears were held to just 22 points in the second half.
Key Stats
Barefield was the game’s high scorer with 21 points with five 3-pointers made.
Timmy Allen had another strong outing as the freshman finished with 17 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double.
Both Gach was awesome off the bench as he had 18 points.
Justice Sueing led Cal with 20 points.
The Utes dominated on the glass, out-rebounding Cal 42-25.

Utah will head home to host Oregon on Thursday. The game will tip off at 7 p.m. on FS1.
