Snow College Hits 21 Threes In Win Over SLCC

EPHRAIM, Utah – The No. 20 Snow College Badgers hit 21 three pointers to coast past No. 21 Salt Lake Community College 108-88.
Five players from Snow College reached double figures in the scoring column, led by Brantzen Blackner with 21 points off the bench. He made six of his seven attempts from downtown.
Logan Hokanson added 20 points, including 4-for-6 from beyond the arc to go with 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Jake Walker poured in 15 points with all of his points coming from the three-point line on five makes.
They finished the game making 21 of their 37 three-point attempts.
SLCC was led by Cameron Mack with 16 points and 5 rebounds, Asa McCord had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
The Bruins hit just 5 of their 26 attempts from downtown.
It was back and forth during the early portion of the first half before Snow College was able to create a double digit lead. By halftime, the Badgers had a commanding 55-27 lead.
Early in the second half, SLCC was able to trim the large deficit to 24 before the Badgers stretched their advantage to 30 points with 10 minutes left in the game.
The lead reached 37 points, but the Bruins avoided the 40-point deficit and cut the lead to 30 with 5 minutes left.
Snow College improved to 19-5 overall and 4-2 in conference play. They will host Utah State University Eastern on Saturday at 5 p.m. on scenicwestnetwork.com.
SLCC dropped to 16-6 overall and 3-2 in conference action and have lost three of their last four games. They will travel to price to face Utah State University Eastern on Thursday at 5 p.m. on scenicwestnetwork.com.
