Utah Valley Takes Care Of Chicago State 74-60

CHICAGO, Ill. – Utah Valley picked up their second straight win on the road with a 74-60 victory over Chicago State.
Jake Toolson led the Wolverines with 18 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. Wyatt Lowell had a great game off the bench with 15 points and 9 rebounds, including 3-of-8 from downtown.
Baylee Steele chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds, T.J. Washington added 10 points to round out the four UVU players to score in double figures.
Utah Valley shot 49 percent from the field, just 31 percent from the three point line and 75 percent at the free-throw line.
The Wolverines dominated the glass with a 34-21 advantage. Both teams committed 13 turnovers.
Utah Valley outscored the Cougars 33-21 in the first half and 41-39 in the second half.
Chicago State was led by Cameron Bowles and Anthony Harris with 17 points apiece.
They shot 52 percent from the field, only 16 percent from downtown and 62 percent from the free-throw line.
The Wolverines improved to 15-7 overall and 4-3 in the WAC and have won their last two games.

They will return home on Wednesday to host California Baptist at the UCCU Center at 7 p.m. on the KSL TV app. The Lancers are 10-8 on the season and 2-3 in conference play.
This will be the first meeting between these two schools as this is California Baptist’s first season in the WAC.
