SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – About 40 minutes before tip-off between the Utah Jazz and the Minnesota Timberwolves, there was a bat flying around Vivint Smart Home Arena. After efforts by many arena employees to catch the bat with the net, it was caught by the Jazz bear.

Donovan Mitchell and Ricky Rubio of the Utah Jazz were warming up before the game when the bat was flying around and many caught it on video while employees attempted to trap the bat into a net.
Nobody can catch this bat flying around the arena ahead of the Jazz-Timberwolves tip-off, not even Jazz Bear. pic.twitter.com/U5obXEwmw5

NBA fans will remember that on Halloween in 2009, Spurs guard Manu Ginobili swatted a bat during a game and walked it off the floor and handed it to arena officials. The Spurs trainer then gave him some hand sanitizer.
The Jazz will face the Timberwolves at 7 p.m. on AT&T SportsNet.
