UTAH JAZZ
Mitchell Apologizes For Collision With Fan

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah โ Although most of the action inside an NBA game takes places inside the lines, sometimes the fans do become a part of the action.
During the Utah Jazzโs win over the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday, Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell left into the crowd after a loose ball. In the process, he collided with Jazz fan Ilana Anderson.
With a foot wrapped in ice by the arena staff, Anderson made a trip to the hospital, where her father, Shawn, documented the ordeal on Twitter.

Luckily for everyone involved, she was not hurt, other than a few sprains and bruises.
Mitchell took notice and offered to send Anderson a jersey and pair of shoes.
Iโm glad you are okay! Thanks for helping me out ๐๐! I got you with a jersey and shoes for sure ๐ฏ๐ฏ๐๐พ๐๐พ https://t.co/1aSBLuRZr9

โI apologized for starters,โ said Mitchell during shootaround prior to Friday’s game at Portland. โI be like I appreciate you breaking my fall, I appreciate you sacrificing yourself for the Jazz. That wonโt go unnoticed. I think everyoneโs taken note on what sheโs done.โ
Mitchell concluded his apology by thanking Anderson and saying that the gift package is on the way.
