Glad, Baird To Attend U.S. National Team Camp

SANDY, Utah – A pair of Real Salt Lake’s young stars have been called into international duty.
Defender Justen Glad and forward Corey Baird will both attend U.S. National Team camp beginning on January 6 in Chula Vista, Calif.

“Justen and Corey highlight a special group of young players on our roster. This honor for them is a testament to the work they’ve done at Real Salt Lake since their days at the Academy and reinforces our club vision,” Real Salt Lake General Manager Craig Waibel said in a press release. “The opportunities are there for the entire group and this call-up could be a sign of things to come for them if they take advantage.”
Both Glad and Baird were both major players for RSL this past season. Glad led all field players with 33 starts while Baird was honored as the 2018 MLS Rookie of the Year.
It is the second call to the national team camp for Glad, who is still seeking his first cap with the team.
It will the first call-up to the national team camp for Baird.
