SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – Utah’s Parker Van Dyke was stellar, especially from beyond the arc, in the Utes’ 93-64 victory over Florida A&M.

The Utes had five players in double figures as they built a commanding lead in a blowout nonconference win. Timmy Allen and Sedrick Barefield each turned in 16 points with Barefield going a perfect 4-for-4 from downtown. Riley Battin and Jace Johnson both had 12 points, respectively.
The Utes shot an impressive 58.8 percent from the field and 44 percent from 3-point land. They also dominated the glass with 38 boards to just 17 by the Rattlers. In addition, Utah also played strong defense without fouling, allowing Florida A&M to go to the line just seven times in the ball game.
Florida A&M did better than perhaps was expected, trailing Utah by 10 at halftime. The Utes however would bury the Rattlers in the second half and built what was basically a 20 to 30 point lead at times.
Back to .500 with a 5-5 record, the Utes will play Northern Arizona Friday at 7 p.m.
