Childs Electrifies Arena With Huge Dunk

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – With the Cougars already up big in the second half, BYU center Yoeli Childs nearly brought down the roof at Vivint SmartHome Arena with a thunderous slam dunk over two Utah defenders.

BYU was up on rival Utah 45-36 with 11 and a half minutes remaining in the second half when Childs took the ball in the paint, rose with one hand and flushed the ball over a pair of Utes. The neutral-site arena went crazy with cheers from the Cougar faithful and even some appreciation from Utah fans.
Josh Hart of the Los Angeles Lakers took note of the big slam.
