UHSAA Announces Region Realignment For 2019-2021

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah High School Activities Association announced the approved changes that will begin in the fall of 2019.
Here is a list of all of the regions following the approved proposal from UHSAA.
East High School headlines the changes as they move to 6A and will play in Region 3 with their rival West as well as Herriman, Riverton, Bingham and Copper Hills.
Roy will join the 6A classification and will participate in Region 1 and will face Clearfield, Fremont, Davis, Layton, Northridge, Syracuse and Weber.
Hillcrest High School will move down to 5A and compete in Region 6 with Cottonwood, Highland, Olympus, Murray and Brighton.
Spanish Fork will head to 4A in Region 8 and with Maple Mountain, Payson, Provo, Springville, Wasatch and Salem Hills.
The new school in Herriman will compete in 5A’s Region 7 with Alta, Jordan, Lehi, Orem, Timpanogos, Timpview and Mountain View. The school will be named either Blackridge or Mountain Ridge.
