The second half belonged to Weber State as they were more effective shooting the ball and getting to the free-throw line for easy points. Both teams made 22 field goals in the second half and Weber State only made one 3-pointer than the Cougars but the Wildcats went to the line 24 times and drained 17 attempts to just 9-of-14 by BYU.
That was the difference as the Wildcats ran away with the game, building what was at most a 15-point lead in the final half.
By The Numbers
Yoeli Childs had a terrific game in the loss, scoring 31 points. Jahshire Hardnett also turned in a strong performance for the Cougars with 24 points.
The Wildcats however, had a total team effort with nearly every player who played scoring in double figures. Jerrick Harding led the way with 30 points on four 3-pointers made while John finished with 22 points and eight rebounds.
Next Up
Weber State will next travel to face Fresno State on Wednesday. BYU will host Utah State on that same day.
