It was Utah quarterback Jason Shelley’s first interception of the season and it wasn’t really his fault. His pass attempt to receiver Siaosi Mariner was dropped, deflected off his leg and ended up in the hands of Murphy, who scampered in for the score.
Murphy then had an uncontested path to the end zone for the gamebreaking score. The interception return for a touchdown put the Huskies up 10-3 with 1:05 remaining in the third quarter.
