Utah Jazz Players Send Alec Burks Best Wishes After Trade

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – After the Jazz beat the Brooklyn Nets 101-90, players took to Twitter to wish their recent former teammate Alec Burks well as he moves on to the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Before the game, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that the Jazz traded Burks to the Cleveland Cavaliers along with a 2020 and 2021 second round pick in exchange for sharpshooter Kyle Korver.
Donovan Mitchell only played with Burks for one season but enjoyed being around him.

Andy Larsen of the Salt Lake Tribune walked past Alec Burks as he was leaving the Barclays Center in Brooklyn as he was heading to Cleveland.
Just ran into Alec Burks. Heβs leaving the Barclays Center now, with his baggage in tow. Looked shocked, I suppose, but not distraught or anything.

Eric Woodyard of the Deseret News reports that Burks is happy with the trade and is on his way to Cleveland.
A Deseret News source confirmed that Alec Burks is happy to be in a place with more consistent minutes for him. Burks is in good spirits and ready to turn the page because the rotation wasnβt working in his favor with 15.8 minutes per game. He is currently headed to Cleveland.
