Utah Guard Vante Hendrix Leaves Basketball Program

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The University of Utah announced that redshirt freshman guard Vante Hendrix is no longer a member of the Utah basketball program.
Utah head coach Larry Krystkowiak released a statement regarding Hendrix’ departure.
Vante Hendrix is no longer be a member of our basketball program and we wish him the best in his future endeavors.
Hendrix played sat out last season as a redshirt and appeared in four games this season as he averaged 7.8 points per game.
He last played against Hawaii in the first game of the Wooden Legacy tournament on Thanksgiving Day where he received a technical foul. Hendrix did not play in the last two games of the tournament against Grand Canyon and Northwestern.
Hendrix announced on his Instagram account that he is leaving the Utah basketball team.
Utah will take on Tulsa on Saturday at the Jon M. Huntsman Center at 3 p.m. on the Pac-12 Network.
