Wildcats Score Big Win Over Benedictine

OGDEN, Utah – The Weber State Wildcats rolled to an easy 100-61 win over Benedictine.

From the start it was evident that the Redhawks were quite outmatched as Weber State jumped out to an early 7-0 lead. It only got worse as the Wildcats built a 25-5 lead in the first eight minutes of the game. From there the Wildcats coasted to a 39-point victory.
Brekkott Chapman led the way with 18 points while Jerrick Harding contributed 15 points with three 3-pointers made. Zach Braxton had a monster night on the boards with 15 rebounds to compliment eight points.
As a team, the Wildcats shoot over 50 percent from the field and beyond the arc. They also dominated the glass, outrebounding the Redhawks 54-34.
Next up for the Wildcats is a home matchup against in-state rival BYU on Saturday at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on KJZZ.
