The Utes remained at No. 17 after an exciting 35-27 victory over BYU last Saturday. They are the only team from the Beehive State to find a place in the rankings. Utah State was previously ranked No. 21 before losing to Boise State last Saturday.
Utah’s opponent this week in the Pac-12 Championship Game, the Washington Huskies, came in at No. 11 in the rankings.
Alabama, Clemson and Notre Dame remained in the top three. Georgia entered the top four with Oklahoma and Ohio State as the first two teams out.
