Utah State Makes College Football Playoff Rankings Debut; Utes Jump Back In

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The third College Football Playoff Top 25 ranking was released and Utah State appeared on the committee’s list for the first time in school history.
The Aggies are No. 23 in the poll and are the highest ranked team in the Mountain West Conference and second-highest ranked Group of Five team (UCF No. 11). Utah State’s opponent on November 24, the Boise State Broncos is the other team in the Mountain West Conference to make the CFP Top 25 at No. 25.
The Aggies are 9-1, which is the second-best start to the season in school history, having won nine straight games. They are coming off of a 62-24 win over San Jose State. Utah State will travel to Colorado State on Saturday at 12 p.m. on AT&T SportsNet.

One other team in the state of Utah jumped back into the College Football Playoff Top 25. The University of Utah bounced from unranked to No. 19, they were No. 15 in the first unveiling of the rankings three weeks ago. Utah beat Oregon 32-25 to improve to 7-3 on the season. They will travel to Colorado to take on the Buffaloes on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. on Pac-12 Network.
