Utah High School Football Playoff Primetime Performers

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – A highlight filled week of high school football in the state of Utah saw some impressive plays. KSL Sports focuses on the Primetime Performers.
No. 1 Primetime Candidate
The 2A championship, the Grand Red Devils pulled out a trick play looking for a win over South Summit. The Red Devils handed the ball off twice then pitched it back to Bryant Troutt, who hit Stacy Randall for the 51-yard flea-flicker touchdown. Despite making a top play, Grand fell to South Summit 50-25.
No. 2 Primetime Candidate
In the 4A semifinal, Skyridge running back Ma’a Notoa wouldn’t let any number of defenders stop him from finding the end zone. Notoa hurdled a defender then stiff armed three more and rumbled in for the touchdown. The Falcons advanced with a 42-15 win over Roy.
No. 3 Primetime Candidate
Another trick play in the 5A semifinal, Jackson Frank to Jack Hollberg , who connected with Noah Benne for the double-pass. What a play by the Titans, but they come up short losing to Corner Canyon 20-15.
No. 4 Primetime Candidate
Lone Peak’s defense led the way for the Knights shutting out Pleasant Grove 29-0 in the 6A semifinal. Brock McChesney picks off the deflected pass and takes it to the house.
