PROVO, Utah – The semifinals of the 2A UHSAA football state tournament is in the books. four teams competed in the semifinal round, only two teams clinched a berth into the championship game at Weber State University.

2A North No. 1-seed South Summit Wildcats 34

2A North No. 3-seed Millard Eagles 10

South Summit had a 21-3 lead heading into the fourth quarter, when the Wildcats finished the final period outscoring Millard 13-7 to advance to the Championship game. South Summit quarterback Kael Atkinson accounted for all five touchdowns, four rushing and one passing.

2A South No. 1-seed Grand Red Devils 10

2A South No. 3-seed Beaver Beavers 0

In a tightly contested game, Grand held a 3-0 lead going into the fourth quarter. The Red Devils scored their only touchdown with 10:57 left in the game as quarterback Bryant Troutt ran in the one yard touchdown.

Grand and South Summit will battle for the 2A Championship on Saturday, November 10 at 11 a.m. at Weber State University.
