Weber State Finishes Home Schedule Undefeated With Win Over Sacramento State

OGDEN, Utah – No. 4 Weber State knocked off Sacramento State on senior day 26-14, after the Wildcats created separation in the second and third quarters.

Wildcats quarterback Jake Constantine threw two touchdown passes and one interception to go with 197 yards through the air. He completed 23 of his 27 pass attempts.
Running back Josh Davis had a tremendous outing with 129 rushing yards and a touchdown on 18 carries. He averaged 7.2 yards per carry.
Weber State Defense
The Wildcats allowed just one touchdown from Sacramento State’s offense. That came with 58 seconds left in the game. The first score that Weber State allowed was a 33 yard fumble recovery returned for a touchdown in the third quarter.
The Hornets managed to rack up just 170 yards of total offense, 98 yards through the air and 72 on the ground.
“There was so many positives about that game, we just have to eliminate a couple of those negatives that cost us the ability to make it a dominating win that we wanted,” said head coach Jay Hill.

The Wildcats will head to Cedar City to take on Southern Utah on Nov. 10 at 5 p.m. The game will be broadcast on Eleven Sports and Pluto TV.
