5A Utah High School Football Quarterfinal State Tournament Results

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The quarterfinals of the 5A UHSAA football state tournament is in the books. Eight teams competed in the second round, only four teams clinched a berth into the semifinals at Rice Eccles Stadium.
KSL Sports takes a look at all of the quarterfinal action.
The Results For 5A
Region 8 No. 1-seed Skyridge Falcons 58
Region 7 No. 2-seed Jordan Beetdiggers 34
Jordan jumped out to a 21-0 lead and that was when Skyridge made their comeback. They outscored the Beetdiggers 58-13 in the final three quarters to take the win. Falcons quarterback Jayden Clemons had four touchdowns, two passing and two on the ground.
Skyridge will take on Region 5 No. 1-seed Roy in the semifinals.
Region 5 No. 1-seed Roy Royals 20
Region 7 No. 3-seed Timpview Thunderbirds 14
Roy scored two touchdowns in the first quarter before a fight broke out in the second quarter. Timpview scored twice to tie the game in the third quarter. The Royals won the game on a 44-yard touchdown catch by wide receiver Kyrese Rowan.
Roy will face Region 8 No. 1-seed Skyridge in the semifinals.
Region 6 No. 1-seed Olympus Titans 28
Region 8 No. 3-seed Springville Red Devils 3
Olympus scored two touchdowns in the first half and held Springville to just three points. The Titans scored two more times in the second half to advance to the next round. Chase Bennion scored three of the four Olympus touchdowns.
The Titans will take on Region 7 No. 1-seed Corner Canyon in the semifinals.
Region 7 No. 1-seed Corner Canyon Chargers 52
Region 5 No. 3-seed Viewmont Vikings 6
The Chargers scored all of their 52 points before Viewmont found the end zone for the first time. The Vikings scored with 53 seconds left to avoid the shutout. Corner Canyon quarterback Cole Hagen had two passing touchdowns and one rushing score. Running back Austin Bell added two touchdowns on the ground.
Corner Canyon will face Region 6 No. 1-seed Olympus in the semifinals.
