Pine View Takes Down Stansbury To Advance To Semifinals

Pine View quarterback Dallin Brown rolls out of the pocket against Stansbury in the quarterfinals of the 4A state football tournament in Stansbury, Utah.
STANSBURY, Utah – The 4A Region 9 No. 4-seed Pine View made the long trip from southern Utah to take on the No. 1-seed Stansbury, they picked up the 65-41 win.
The Stallions didn’t play well until the second half. Meanwhile, the Panthers got things rolling with back-to-back rushing touchdowns by quarterback Dallin Brown. Pine View took the 28-7 lead in the first half.
Both teams had costly turnovers early, but in the second half both offenses heated up, scoring a combined 71 points in the last half of the game.
Pine View will play the Region 10 No. 1-seed Orem High School at Rice-Eccles Stadium on Friday, November 9 at 6:00 p.m.
