Utah Basketball Takes Down College Of Idaho In Exhibition Game

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The University of Utah Runnin’ Utes beat the College of Idaho 96-76 in their lone exhibition tune up.
The Utes largest lead of the game was 32 points, 57-25 with 58 seconds left in the first half. The Yotes cut the lead to 15 with six minutes left in the game before Utah bumped the lead back to 20 and took the win.
Utah shot 50 percent from the field, hitting 34-of-68 shooting and 11-of-31 from three. They had five players score in double figures.
Newcomer Stand Outs
Highly-touted freshman Timmy Allen led Utah with 18 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field to go with 7 rebounds and 4 assists, in his Utes debut.

Graduate transfer Novak Topalovic from Idaho State, added a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds in 20 minutes of play.
True freshman Both Gach had 12 points and three assists in his first game with the Utes.
Returning Utes Play Well
Sophomore forward Donnie Tillman had 12 points and four rebounds on 5-of-10 shooting from the field, including 2-of-5 from downtown.
Senior backcourt duo Sedrick Barefield and Parker Van Dyke added 10 points and 7 points respectively.
The Utes will open their regular season schedule on Thursday, November 8, against Maine at the Huntsman Center. The game will begin at 7 p.m. and can be seen on the Pac-12 Network.
