After the Eagles kicked a pair of field goals to cut into the lead, the Wildcats defense came up with a pair of huge plays in the fourth quarter to keep the Eagles at bay. On third down on the Wildcats’ 8-yard line, Juwain Harrison picked off Eric Barriere with 9:43 remaining to eliminate the Eagles’ best chance at a touchdown.
Later, with less than three minutes remaining in the game, the Wildcats again picked off Barriere, this time it was Landon Stice that made the play.
The Wildcats (4-2, 2-1) will next face Montana State Saturday at 4 p.m. at Stewart Stadium.
