UTAH STATE AGGIES
Utah State Extends Winning Streak To Five With Big Win Over UNLV

LOGAN, Utah – The Utah State Aggies continued their streak of dominant play with a 59-28 victory over the UNLV Rebels Saturday afternoon at Maverik Stadium.
The Aggies had already done something that they had never done before in school by scoring over 40 points in four straight games and extended that streak to five with the win over the Rebels.
Aggies Make Quick Work Of UNLV
Utah State stumbled out of the gate with star kicker Dominik Eberle missing a short 27-yard field goal on the opening drive. After trading punts, UNLV then took an early 7-0 lead by marching down the field for a touchdown on a 9-play, 57-yard drive.
Utah State however, would respond in a huge way, scoring touchdowns on each of their next five possessions and blocking a punt for a touchdown along the way to build a 42-7 lead at halftime.
UNLV outscored the Aggies 21-17 in the second half, but that was mostly meaningless as the game already belong to Utah State.
By The Numbers
Aggie quarterback Jordan Love was stellar in the victory. He completed 17-of-23 attempts for 322 yards and five touchdowns. His wide receivers were a force to be reckoned with as well, led by Jalen Greene, who finished with 132 yards and a touchdown. Ron’quavion Tarver added 52 receiving yards with a pair of scores.
The win gave the Aggies a 2-0 start in Mountain West conference play. The Rebels dropped to 0-2 in conference play after Saturday’s contest.
Next Week
Up next for the Aggies is a road test against the Wyoming Cowboys next Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
