Fans Weigh In On Pac-12 Officiating Scandal

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – According to a report by Yahoo Sports, a “clear” targeting call at the end of the Washington State at USC game on Sept. 21 was overturned by a untrained “third party”. The report indicates that the call, which was brought to the replay booth was ruled not targeting by Pac-12 general counsel and senior vice president of business affairs Woodie Dixon, who is not a trained referee.
Language in the internal report by the game’s replay official Gary McNanna shows that McNanna was less than pleased with the way the play was ruled.

My reaction when Larry Scott admitted they made a mistake when they “mixed administrative oversight and leadership with real time replay review calls made by experts” #Pac12Officials pic.twitter.com/btASwD5Kyf
