Utah To Wear Special ‘Ute Proud’ Uniforms Friday Night

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – This week in their matchup with the Arizona Wildcats, the Utah Utes will be celebrating the heritage of their namesake for the fifth annual Ute Proud game.
Utah will take the field in special Ute Proud uniforms, featuring tribal patterns and designs on the helmet that honor the Ute Tribe.

In celebration of the game, Ute Proud t-shirts will be for sale at the game and at local fan apparel stores. Proceeds will benefit scholarships and youth programs for the Ute Tribe.
The Utes are 2-2 in Ute Proud games, with wins over Arizona State in 2015 and San Jose State in 2017 and losses to Arizona in 2014 and Washington in 2016.
The game will kick off Friday at 8 p.m. at Rice Eccles Stadium. It will be broadcast on ESPN.
