Utah Jazz Well Regarded In NBA GM Survey

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz had a good showing in this year’s annual NBA.com GM survey.
As a team, the Jazz were ranked as the fourth-best team in the Western Conference. They were also picked as the best defensive team in the NBA. Behind Golden State, the Jazz were named the second-best home-court advantage in the league.
Snyder Receives Praise
Head coach Quin Snyder was voted as the coach who has the best defensive schemes while also finishing fourth in best offensive strategy.
Gobert’s Game Respected
Rudy Gobert received mixed results from the survey. While he was voted into a tie with Toronto Raptors forward Kawhi Leonard for best defensive player in the league, he received no votes for best center in the league. He also was named the best interior defender in the NBA.
Mitchell Is Highly Regarded
Donovan Mitchell was voted the fourth most athletic player behind Russell Westbrook, Giannis Antetokounmpo and LeBron James. He also received votes for player most likely to have a breakout season in 2018-19.
The Big Ones
The general managers voted Golden State as the runaway favorite to win the NBA championship with 87 percent of the vote. James just edged Kevin Durant as the pick to win the MVP award.
