Utah Jazz Host ‘Meet The Team’ Event

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Jazz held a “Meet The Team” event Friday night in front on of a packed lower bowl at Vivint SmartHome Arena. The event consisted of team introductions and a three-point shooting contest hosted by Jazz radio voice David Locke.
Jazz Help Grant A Wish
A special part of the evening was when Make-A-Wish kid Wyatt, got to meet the team as they were introduced in their new throwback uniforms. Royce O’Neale and his Junior Jazz escorts did the floss dance when they were introduced.

Gobert Gets His Hardware
Rudy Gobert was presented with his 2017-18 Defensive Player of the Year award and was happy to show it off to the Jazz faithful.

Mitchell Drains A Half-Court Shot
The players then took to a three-point shooting contest, won by the tandem of Naz Mitrou-Long and Georges Niang. Though Donovan Mitchell didn’t win the three-point contest, he drew plenty of cheers when he swished a half-court shot.

Finally, the evening was concluded when Wyatt slammed home the final shot of the night, with a little boost from Gobert.
