SANDY, Utah – It was a disappointing night for Real Salt Lake as they led most of the game but saw the victory turn to a 1-1 draw against Minnesota United.
Damir Kreilach continued to be on fire, scoring the opening goal at the 10-minute mark on a great individual effort with a shot outside the box.

Unfortunately for RSL, Minnesota’s Miguel Ibarra found the back of the net with a little flick over Nick Rimando to equalize the score in the 85th minute.

He nearly added another one just a couple minutes that would have left RSL completely point-less in the standings, but it was called back after video review.
Onuoha Ready To Join Team On Field
The newest edition to Real Salt Lake, defender Nedum Onuoha, spoke to David James and Brian Dunseth at halftime of the game to discuss his adjustment to the team and to Major League Soccer. While waiting for his visa to come to Salt Lake, he spent a considerable amount of time watching game footage of his team in order to expedite the transition.
“I think it’s a gift and a curse the amount of time that it took for my visa to come through,” said Onuoha, who comes to RSL from the Queens Park Rangers of the English Championship League. “Because I wasn’t sure how long it was going to take but it gave me more time to really look at some things. I studied much about the MLS.”
RSL will next travel to Atlanta to take on Atlanta United next Saturday at 5 p.m. at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
