SANDY, Utah – There’s hot, then there’s Albert Rusnak hot.
The Real Salt Lake midfielder continued his electric playing streak with a goal while playing for his native Slovakian national team in a friendly match against Denmark.
Slovakia won the game 3-0 behind Rusnak’s and NYCFC striker Adam Nemec’s strong play.
On the club side of things, Rusnak has scored five goals and helped out on an assist over RSL’s last three games. To put that in perspective, he had five goals in his previous 23 appearances with the club.
Led by Rusnak, RSL is on a three-game winning streak and currently sits in fourth place in the Western Conference playoff race.
With a week off for the international window, RSL returns to the pitch at Rio Tinto Stadium on Saturday, September 15 at 7:30 p.m. to host Minnesota United.
