MURRAY, Utah – The Kearns Cougars rolled to a 52-0 victory over Cottonwood, led by running back and return man extraordinaire Isaiah Afatasi.
Afatasi was seemingly unstoppable, registering an incredible five touchdowns – three on the ground and two on punt returns. Though he had an incredible game, Afatasi was quick to credit his teammates postgame.
“It wasn’t just me,” he said. “I had a bunch of good blockers in front of me. They made my job look easy.”
Kearns head coach Matt Rickards glowed when talking about his star player after the game.
“He’s definitely dynamic,” said Rickards. “He’s a player. Anytime he touches the ball, explosive things could happen. He’s the guy; we’re trying to get the ball in his hands as much as possible.”
The Week 3 game was broadcast in its entirety on KSL’s Game Night Live.
